CICERRO is built so that it can only cite a judgment actually retrieved from the record, and strips anything it cannot ground. That materially reduces the risk of a fabricated citation — it does not eliminate the duty to check. Read the judgment at the primary source before you rely on it in court or in advice to a client. The exact boundary of what is verified is set out on The guarantee.

Retrieval can also miss. An empty or thin answer means the system found nothing it could stand behind, not that no authority exists.

The published judgments of the Supreme Court of India (1950 to date) and the Calcutta High Court (from 2018), taken from the public record, and the official text of the Acts listed as live on The record. It does not yet contain other High Courts, court rules, tribunal decisions, or unreported judgments. Coverage of very old or poorly scanned documents is imperfect. Statute sections a memo cites are checked against the Act as in force on your date; a State Act we have not loaded (most states other than West Bengal and Maharashtra today) is marked “not in our library”, not “wrong”.

Access is by invitation and may be withdrawn. Features can change or break without notice, usage is capped per account, and data may be reset while the product is in testing. Do not share your login. Do not use CICERRO to scrape or resell the record, to attack the service, or to generate anything unlawful.

What you write and upload stays yours. You grant only the permission needed to run the service for you — store it, search it, and send it to the processors named in the privacy policy. It is not used to train anything and it is not shown to other users.

CICERRO is a tool for practitioners. It does not advertise, list or solicit on behalf of any advocate, and you agree not to use it, or this website, in any way that would breach the Bar Council of India’s rules on advertising and solicitation.

The service is provided as-is, without warranty, during testing and free of charge. To the extent the law allows, Triptych Technologies LLP is not liable for any loss arising from its use — including any decision taken, or not taken, on the strength of its output. Where liability cannot be excluded it is limited to the amount you have paid, which during testing is nothing.
